QUOTE
NOW is time to help!
« on: Nov 26th, 2004, 12:42pm »

-I want to make this in a new thread because it is of the UTMOST importance-

In another post Benjy_Grimm has made the most interesting comment and I quote "So, if it sold more copies (let's give it a ballpark figure of 25,000 per issue) then we'd be getting a new issue every month?"

The answer is YES

I need 20,000 copies a month (more is better of course) for GB to be monthly. Right now we're about 15,000 copies an issue (not 15,000 per cover), which is not bad but 5,000 short of our goal.

Now people, in this festive period, now is time to bug your local comic shop to order more, to go online and buy at GCC if you don't have a comic book store near.

http://www.88mphstudios.com/GB/previews.html is the direct link to my website giving you the Previews ordering item numbers.

Print this page, bring it to your local comic book store and have them order as many copies as they like.

http://csls.diamondcomics.com/ is the direct link to find out where is your local comic book store that can order with Previews.

I'm serious folks, I know you all support the comic, but we need more loyal fans like yourselves.

I don't usually double post, but this is important. You can count GBI in to advertise and do our part anyway we can.

Well, i've done what I can, and I did it a long time ago.. My comic shop refuses to order more than what people put in orders for due to the fact of A: it's an independent title that's new B: it's course record for issues coming out.. C: the fact that they don't want to waste money on issues that won't be bought. SO basically, my shop won't touch it for more than he gets ordered.. meaning between 3 and 5 issues.. tops...... So I gave it what I could..

Cool banner...mind if I borrow it for my site?

I also helped the comic a bit last night, by buying another copy of #3, the variant cover. Though I probably would have done it anyway to match the others. See, the dude always orders the variants but when #3 first came out and I came in, there was just one ish left, and regular cover! huh.gif

I was glad to see Mountain Empire was quite stocked up on #3 variants, and I mentioned this thread and the sitch to him as well....

I had an idea, but it got lonely and went away.... :(

Well, I borrowed the logo directly from GBI, so I'm sure it's fine. cool.gif

While banners are good, I think that what we should really do is have all Ghostheads buy multiple copies of the comic.

I make it a rule to buy 3 of each issue. (2 of the special covers)

If everyone did that...could you imagine the jump in sales? That might convince someone important to pay more attention to GB...

I know I've done that, then showed or sold an extra issue so another ghosthead could have a copy of this comic. Its insane how many #1s *varients, etc) I have/had. I truly believe the 88mph Studios GB comic is one of the best things the 20th anniversary could have brought us.

Let's just all hope that we get up to 20,000.
